Full spirit for his retrieve ........ and also full spirit on the way back
Melvin's field trial career started last year with six awards (including four firsts, and a further third and second award). These consistently excellent results characterize him as a great gundog. Whatever happens, he stays calm and does his work. I am very proud of him particularly since he is still a very young dog.
Melvin is a happy and incredibly sweet and passionate young boy. His will to please is at an extreme high levell !! At home Melvin is a very easy and calm dog, he is playfull but a very good listener and easy to train. He is friendly and just want to do everything for you. He just wants to be your friend.
Although Melvin is a playfull little clown, which I like very much in him, he is a very good worker. He is a good and fast retriever. In addition to this, he is a very good marker. That is one of the things that makes him a very pleasant dog to work with. His trust in you is so incredible. How playfull Melvin can be, as soon as he has to work, he is concentrated, steady and focussed. He always does his utmost best: He looks at you like he wants to say, tell me and I will do it for you. It is a pleasure to work with such a dog !!!
Every morning when Melvin wakes up, I enjoy seeing hem. The first thing he wants to do, is to hug you and he looks at you with eyes which are full of trust and happiness.......
